Zelensky was Treated like a Black Man

The Oval Office Meeting had all the Makings of an Ambush.

It’s been 24 hours since the Oval Office press conference between President Trump, Vice President Vance, and Ukraine’s leader, Zelensky. To say the meeting was a debacle would be an understatement. It was a straight-up ambush that shocked Zelenskyy and the nation. Zelensky was left reeling, and the country was left embarrassed.

During the press conference, Trump, Vance, and other Trump team members attacked Zelensky at every turn. The Ukrainian leader could barely get a word in as his head turned in every direction. Trump would ask him a question, and before he could answer, Vance would have a follow-up question, while another Trump member shouted to queries from outside the camera. Zelensky didn’t know who to answer first.

That’s why I say Zelensky was being treated like a Black man. Someone asked Zelensky why he wasn’t wearing a suit to the press conference and if he even owned one. This is the language of white supremacy. Black men are often belittled for the way they look and carry themselves. Remember the uproar over Obama’s tan suit?
