You’re Drafted! Or Not?

Congress passed a bill automatically registering men aged 18–26 for the draft.

But there’s some confusion around the bill.

I don’t know if what’s been playing online is true — but the military is looking for fresh bodies to send to slaughter.

Young men are needed to crisscross the globe, putting out fires that aren’t our business.

Congress claims it has passed an automatic draft bill. Some say it’s being misread. I don’t know. But I’m glad I’m a woman.

We need to stop sending young men off to fight the wars of old men.

I wouldn’t say I like hearing a U.S. soldier die for America. Have they killed for what? Rent is still high. Gas prices are still high. Food prices are still high. Costs are high, high, high! The American soldiers are dying for NOTHING!

America is a land of hatred and screwed-up ideologies around class, gender, and race. We shouldn’t be preaching to the world about democracy when our democratic ideals are being destroyed.

America should be fixing its issues. For example, send our soldiers to break up KKK and Neo-Nazis marches. Send soldiers to fix the infrastructure in Flint, Michigan, and Atlanta, Georgia. Provide soldiers to help the unhoused, mentally ill…
