As you know, when it comes to Women’s College Basketball, it has been the must-watch sport for almost forty years. Because men's teams have always dominated the news, women’s college basketball was treated like a stepchild. But these women can hoop and have been hooping hard for a long time.

It has been more than 40 years since the first women’s NCAA DI tournament in 1982, and there have been many record-setting performances throughout the years, including the highest-scoring individual games in the tournament’s history.

The records are taken from the official guides at NCAA.org. The tournament field expanded from 32 teams in 1982 to 64 in 1994.
