Unvaccinated? You’re in Danger!
Cases rising in states with the lowest vaccination rates.
The Delta Variant the latest iteration of COVID-19 is wreaking havoc across the country. The variant is in every state in the U.S. Depending on the vaccination rate of the state, the variant hasn’t significantly impacted infection rates. However, numbers are going up in every state. States with the lowest vaccination rates have seen the largest increase of infected citizens.
As reported by major news outlets such as CNN and Good Morning America, the Delta Variant has increased hospitalizations in several Southern states. These states, like Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee, have seen spikes in hospitalizations. Missouri’s hospitals have expanded their ICU spaces to provide room for more patients. The common factor for these states is their low vaccination rates.
If you’re unvaccinated, you’re placing yourself and those around you at risk. The Delta Variant is highly contagious and has a higher hospitalization rate than previous variants. The CDC is very concerned about the Delta Variant. This variant is nothing to ignore. Those who aren’t vaccinated are playing a dangerous game of virus roulette.
I’m not trying to scare people. I just want people to be aware of the situation. The pandemic isn’t over. The Delta Variant is the latest spawn of COVID-19. It is not a variant to take lightly. If you can (and I know some people can’t due to health reasons) please get vaccinated. You’ll be doing your part to protest yourself, your family, and others.
The CDC sees the situation as a “pandemic of the unvaccinated.” The CDC Director has been on major networks discussing the Delta Variant and pleading with people to get the shot. President Biden is sending additional aid to those states that are struggling with the increased cases. If more people become vaccinated, we can regain control over the Delta Variant. If not, the United States may have to undergo a lockdown once again.
