This has been BPS' MO for decades! It's gotten worse since MCAS testing began. With so many students and schools struggling academically (long before COVID), the district blames teachers and leaders of color for the deficits. However, it must be noted that the district receives a lot of money for struggling schools. ELL students and special needs students from the state and federal level. Having too many students in those categories succeeding means less money for the district. Someone needs to look at BPS' books and speak to those people who were dismissed frim central office.
