The Winter Blahs Can Affect Your Fashion Choices
Winter is hard on Fashion
We are halfway through the Winter season and Spring needs to get here quickly. Sometimes getting up in the morning is a battle of strength versus will. The cold floors, the chilly rooms, and the dark mornings can drive anyone back under the covers. I’ve felt that way many a day since Winter began in late December.
While the cold weather can be a reason to bundle up, sometimes that is all you want to do before you head outside. Style is not a part of the equation. You just want to stay warm and comfortable. Depending on where you live, however, that mindset can turn into a fashion rut.
This is why it’s important to dress for the weather and your style. Regardless of where you’re headed, once outside you want to look and feel your best. Style shouldn’t be sacrificed on the altar of warmth. You can be warm and stylish.
Here are some tips on how to accomplish both:
- Layering:
- Start with a thermal or moisture-wicking base layer.
- Add stylish sweaters, cardigans, or pullovers for warmth and versatility.
- Top it off with a fashionable coat or jacket, considering classic styles like wool or down-filled options.
