A Rare Win for Black People

What we’re covering here (CNN website)

Guilty. All three men were found guilty. Gregory McMichael, Travis McMichael, and William “Roddie” Bryan, Jr. All three men were found GUILTY in the murder of Ahmaud Arbery. And I am here for the verdict!

Yes! Prayer works! Somewhere in the celestial heavens, the prayers of Ahmaud’s family were heard. The prayers of their supporters all across Georgia and the United States were heard. The deities of the universe joined forces and answered those prayers. We are grateful that the evil of racism did not enter the hearts of the jurors and influenced them to find Ahmaud’s killers not guilty.

Faces of Hate

These are the faces of the men who murdered Ahmaud Arbery. These three men hunted down Ahmaud because he was a Black man in the “wrong place.” He was a Black man in an area where Blacks are not wanted. He was a Black man jogging and that set three White men to go after Arbery. They went after him, fought him, and shot him.

Ahmaud died. The three men went on about their lives with nary a scratch on their persons. Thanks to a top-notch prosecutor, the juror saw that the men were 100% responsible for Arbery’s death. They hunted him down. They fought him. They shot him. It was even later determined that they taunted him as he lay dying and then drove over his body. These three need to be thrown under the prison!

It’s the holiday season. Thanksgiving is on November 25th. Arbery’s family will have a bittersweet celebration. Yes, the men that killed Ahmaud will be sentenced for his murder. But that will not return Ahmaud to the land of the living. He is gone. Ahmaud is in the spiritual realm with the trillions of other souls taken from this world. I hope he exists in a place of beauty and peace.

He deserves that much.
