I’m a Hip Hop girl. My favorite artists run the gamut from Public Enemy to Biggie to Kendrick Lamar. There are too many artists for me to name but they all have one thing in common — their influence and impact on the fashion world.
Whether it was “My Adidas” by RUN-DMC or “Air Force Ones” by Nelly, Hip Hop artists have spent the past fifty years influencing fashion. Hip Hop culture runs from head to toe — from hairstyles to sneakers and everything in between.
It’s the fiftieth anniversary of Hip Jop and there’s been a lot written about how the genre has exploded in the United States and all around the world. Hip Hop is a global phenomenon, creating rappers in every country and continent from Africa to Europe to Asia, Hip Hop has billions of devout listeners.
