The DNC Has Been a Hot Spot of Hope
Celebrities and Politicians rally around Harris and Walz.
I’ve been watching the Democratic National Convention, and the energy and turnout give me much hope for November. Thousands have poured into the convention hall to shake the rafters over Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
Many of my favorite Instagram political commentators—izzytenet, the Que with Que, Shop_aif, and many more—have been on the ground reporting their experiences and sharing their insights about the convention.
From what I have seen, the energy is palpable as people turn out to support the Harris-Walz ticket. It has been a strong condemnation against Trump and his MAGA supporters. “We are not going back” has been the chant all week.
And rightly so, Trump and his supporters fervently embrace Project 2025. A document that would send America back to the pre-Civil Rights Era. With the Supreme Court already in Trump’s pocket, we can’t afford to have Trump back in power. The future of this country is at stake.
We have already witnessed the dismantling of Affirmative Action and book bans, and several Republicans state that enslaved people were learning skills, making slavery seem like a vocational program and not the heinous period that it was .
