Congrats to the Boston Celtics on their Historic 18th World Championship

The Boston Celtics have done it again! They’ve won their 18th World Championship! It was a hard-fought battle against the Dallas Mavericks. Some fans were concerned when the Mavericks blew the Celtics away in Game 4, preventing a sweep. Other fans said the Celtics “allowed” that win so they could win at home. Either way, the Celtics are the champions!

I love basketball but followed the Celtics’ championship run from a distance. I was aware of their wins during the playoffs, but I was cautious not to get overly optimistic. I didn’t want to jinx their drive to the Finals. When they made it, I was happy but feared a repeat of 2022, when the Celts were in the Finals and practically gave the game away.

I’ve supported the Celtics since high school, and I’ve watched them change coaches, players, and uniforms. I remember the Garden when it was the Boston Garden. As a kid, I would watch the Celtics play on television and marvel at their athleticism. I played basketball in middle school, and while my intramural team won the championship, my peers didn’t view me well (that’s another story).

As an adult, I’ve seen enough Celtics games to know the dynasty will continue with the current team. It has to continue. Boston needs consistency. We haven’t had a championship parade in ages! Can the Celts win the…
