Spring and Winter Have Beef
Temperatures are all over the place
It’s Friday, and the start of the weekend is hours away. When I turned on the news, the meteorologist informed viewers that the morning temperature was 38 degrees. 38 degrees?! It’s the end of April! May is right around the corner, and we’re getting winter temperatures.
As I sat on my bed, I pondered my outfit choices. As a fan of layering, ideas swirled in my head: A denim skirt? Jeans? A sweater? A blazer? It’s Friday, so I don’t feel like dressing up. But I don’t like being cold.
I’d rather have April showers than cold temps, but living up north can be a challenge. If it’s not snowing, it’s raining or windy. The temperatures can go from the 20s to the 50s. The meteorologist said today would be sunny, and we should hit 60 by noon. Yayyyy…..
That means I need to dress in a way that keeps me warm in the morning and cool in the afternoon. If I go out tonight, I need to be very warm. It’s a tricky balancing act that can be exhausting.
It would be nice to live in a region with consistent weather. For example, if I lived in Nevada, there would be sunny skies, dry heat, and warm temperatures. If I lived in Miami, Florida, there would also be sun, heat, and humidity. (and possible hurricanes). But at least I’d know what to expect every day.
So, as I get up from my warm bed, I’ve decided to wear lightweight jeans with my new Godzilla T-shirt and a denim jacket. I’ll also wear my black Levi's jacket to keep me warm through the morning. Let’s get this Friday over with so I can enjoy the weekend!
