Dress Up Your Spring!

Third Form Exclusive Visions Lace-Trimmed Maxi Dress

$350 at Moda Operand — marieclaire.com

I have a love-hate relationship when it comes to dresses. When I was in my teens and early 20s, dresses were my thing. I wore short dresses. I wore long dresses, My dresses and skirts would dominate my closet. I was a girly girl and felt dresses made me look pretty.

Fast forward to 2025 and if I wear a dress once during the week, that’s a rare day. It really depends on the season. I wear dresses in the late spring t early autumn. When the weather is hot, dresses are perfect. A nice, flowing dress keeps me cool. But now, things have changed. I find most dresses to be ill-fitting. My girlish figure has morphed into womanly curves. Dresses don’t fit me comfortably anymore.

Skirts, on the other hand, are my vibe. Most skirts are spread out after the waist line. The only skirts I don’t like are pencil skirts which aren’t designed for women with curves. I have more skirts in my closet than dresses. Skirts can be worn casually with sneakers or formaly with heels. This is also true for dresses.

Let’s see some examples for Spring 2025:
