Round Toe vs Pointed Toe Shoes
Which do you prefer?
I like round-toed shoes. My parents inherited wide feet, so my feet don’t do well in narrow shoes. My toes need room to move! While pointed-toe shoes are cute and trendy, they’re not for every woman. I, for one, don’t like to mash my feet into shoes and limp around all day. That is not cool!
I do own a few pairs of pointed-toe shoes. They’re flat shoes and a size 10. I do better with flatter shoes than heeled shoes. However, I have plantar fascitis, and my doctor told me to wear heels. Sure! I love a good chunky heel. I used to wear a lot of high heels during my clubbing days. I could wear those shoes for hours. Not anymore. I need chunky, thick heels.
There was a post on Instagram about round-toed shoes being “dated.” I don't see it this way. Many trendy shoes are round-toed. For example, motorcycle boots, Doc Martens, and rain boots are generally round-toed. They even look better round-toed versus pointed-toed. So, the fact that some fashion influencers consider round-toed shoes “dated” doesn’t sit well with me.
Pointed-toed shoes can be beautiful. They come in a variety of styles — from flats to thigh-high boots. But their beauty has a downside — pointed-toe shoes aren’t designed for all-day wear (unless they’re flat shoes). After two or three hours, you’re ready to take those shoes off…
