Rittenhouse Acquittal Shows that Justice is Not Equal in America

Rittenhouse is still a murderer.

Killer Kyle is a free man today. Hell has frozen over. How can someone with an AR-15 enter a city that is not his own, shoot three men, killing two of them, and go free? Simple. He is white in a country where Black and Brown's lives don’t matter.

I was shocked when I saw the video of Rittenhouse being acquitted on all counts for shooting three men, killing two of them. The two men were part of a Black Lives Matter protest after the shooting of a Black man by the police. Rittenhouse crossed state lines with his automatic weapon to join other militia under the guise of protecting property.

Now, after a trial that raised many eyebrows during its course, Rittenhouse is a free man. Meanwhile, the families of his victims are left reeling from the verdict. Their pain lives on. This is so insane! How can a man shoot three people, kill two of them and go free?! Again, it's simple.

  1. The judge coddled Rittenhouse every time he took the stand.
  2. Rittenhouse “cried” while on the stand, looking like a little boy.
  3. Rittenhouse’s baby face made him a sympathetic figure.
  4. The Defense kept pushing self-defense for the reason of the shooting (aka those three bad men threatening a boy).
  5. The judge yelled at the prosecution any time the prosecutor went after Rittenhouse’s claims of self-defense
  6. Rittenhouse is young and white.

Killer Kyle is a murderer. He should be facing prison time. Yet he is free to enjoy his life. It is sick and inhumane. If this was a Black man, the outcome would have been totally different. The verdict is wrong. The families of the victims have been shocked once again, relieving the death of their family members.

Vigilantes will now feel that they can go into any city or town and shoot anyone. They can use self-defense to justify their actions. This is not how America should be. The decision of the jury has added insult to injury to the families. They don’t have closure. The grieving process continues after a verdict that left the entire country in an uproar.

Protests were held in Kenosha, Portland, and New York City. White Supremacy has won a major victory. Vigilantes and pro-white groups have won a major victory. Racism has won a major victory. But the protesters across the country will not give up. They will not be deterred by hate and injustice. Those who support Rittenhouse can go to hell with him.

There is no justice in America. Justice is a myth. If you are white, you have protection and power if you commit a crime against those who support equality and tolerance. I think Rittenhouse’s life will be in constant jeopardy. He better sleep with one eye open. There’s a bullseye on his back. People will not forget what he did.. Rittenhouse killed two people and injured a third. There’s no changing that fact.
