Refocus your energies

A new month brings new opportunities

Welcome, August! So glad that you’re here! July was a mess! Literally!

I hope you bring more sunshine than rain. I hope you provide us all with a fresh start. There’s nothing like a new month to refocus your mind on new opportunities.

We can all use a fresh start. The pandemic has taken a turn for the worst. The Delta Variant has increased infection rates, especially among young people, making many hospitals admit more patients once again. Hospital beds are filling up, causing shortages across the country. This, in turn, has many state governments requiring masks in indoor spaces.

I plan to work on more essays, poetry, and side hustles. I need to increase my income. My oldest is going to college and money will be needed. In addition, I need to buy supplies for my classroom and add some more books to my classroom library. In addition, I’m preparing for a fall session of my own classes in leadership. It’s my next step to becoming an effective school leader.

Yes, August, a lot of activity begins today with you. The sun is already high in the sky, shining down on our hopes and dreams. A sunny day is a great way to start a new week and a new month. I look forward to what you’ll bring my way.

Let’s get our hustle on, everyone!
