Trying Intermittent Fasting and Adjusting my Easting

I’ve been snapping at people. My patience is short. I’ve been drinking water and chewing gum between meals. Anything to curb the cravings to dive bomb into my fridge and eat everything in sight.

I don’t like yelling at people. It’s not their fault that I’m starving. But I knew that this change would test my patience. Water helps. It fills me up. Chewing gum stops my stomach from rumbling. It keeps me away from the fridge late at night.

I’m also doing intermittent fasting. I began fasting yesterday. I’m not following everything exactly but I’m trying. I try not to stress out over food. Being hungry isn’t anything new for me. I had plenty of hungry days as a child. But once I reached adulthood and started making my own money, hunger became a thing of the past.

So I adjusted my eating. I try to eat healthy — fruit, whole grains, and veggies.

I try to have one of each during every meal. Between meals, I drink water and chew gum.

My goal is to lose 13 pounds by the end of September. I’m doing my first weight check at the end of the week. Hopefully, I’ll see some progress.
