These Creators Know Fashion!

When I began my journey as a fashion blogger, my “teachers” were Youtubers already well-known online. I enjoyed their content and wanted to be like them (and still do). These creators have a strong online presence across many platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. Their work has earned them thousands of followers. In addition, these fashion insiders have brand deals, paid sponsorships, and invites to fashion shows.

My online presence is minuscule compared to these creators, but I know Rome wasn’t built in a day. It takes time, patience, and hard work to build a large following. I just wish I could learn a way to increase my following faster. I post reels, update my IG stories, and post to Medium every week. I often make posts to IG, TikTok, and Medium almost every day. On some platforms, like Medium, my following grows every week. On TikTok, I might get anywhere between 3– 5 new followers a day. On Instagram, I’ve been losing my following since late 2023. It can be very frustrating when you’re trying to become a full-time content creator. I’m still chained to a job and a paycheck instead of working for myself.

How do these creators do it? I know they put in the work, their platforms are polished and professional, and they provide engaging content. These platforms are their full-time jobs. They are…
