Musk Makes Moves on DOE
The Department of Education is in his sights
The Treasury Department, USAID, and the Consumer Finacial Protection Bureau fell to Musk’s machinations. Now, it’s the Department of Education’s turn. The DOE is responsible for much work regarding grants, loans, educational policy, and curriculum. Musk feels that the DOE is another federal agency full of wasteful spending and WOKE sentiments.
So far, Musk has caused nothing but chaos and panic.
Trump continues to fire inspector generals.
Musk sends his post-teen minions into areas they don’t belong.
Democrats protest but seem not to be gaining much ground beyond voicing their displeasure and showing up at rallies.
The Department of Education, while not perfect, is a vital federal agency responsible for America’s educational mission. The DOE is the center of the Common Core and provides guidelines for states to adopt it into their academic plans.
Without the DOE, many southern states will fall further behind in reading and math. States with stronger economies and higher academic scores will fare better — but for how long? Federal funding from the DOE will end once it's dismantled. Programs like Special Education and English Learners will lose millions in financial support. This will burden states that have already stretched thin from the influx of immigrants (legal or not).
