Medium, Where’s My Money?!
I signed up to be compensated months ago and still no money.
Hello followers! Thank you for reading my pieces. I appreciate all the attention my articles have gained. However, I would appreciate it if the platform, Medium, would pay me something for my writing. I signed up months ago to get paid for my pieces. Yet, every time I post, I’m told that my essays don’t qualify for compensation. Why?!
I reached out to Medium and was told I needed to sign up. They sent me the instructions. It was the same instructions I followed months ago. What’s the deal? Someone from Medium needs to guide me through the process. Obviously, I’ve missed a step.
But you would think that with all the attention my articles have received that Medium would reach out and say, “Hey Shirley, your posts have been doing really well. You deserve to receive payment for your pieces. Let’s help get you set up on the platform.” However, no one from Medium has reached out and my pieces continue to go unpaid.
Look, I’m not begging for money. I have a job. However, I’m trying to build multiple streams of income. I’m a freelance writer, public speaker, and poet. I’ve made money in those areas, but it’s not consistent. I’m trying to change that. I’m putting more work into my writing and speaking careers. Writing is easier since all I need is my laptop and an internet connection. So, Medium, please help me out.
