Katt Williams Does It Again

Williams leaves us in stitches with “Woke Foke.”

Williams’ Netflix special, “Woke Foke,” was an event. Williams, dressed as a combination pimp and circus ringmaster, gave the audience an hour of entertainment.

Williams spoke on current events (the Black woman who lied about being kidnapped) and his reparations appeal to white people. Williams claimed that if Black people received 20 million in their bank accounts, that would be the end of racism. I doubt it, but I’ll take the money.

Williams had the crowd hollering and laughing. I enjoyed the energy he gave to his performance. Williams moved about the stage as he delivered jokes and commentary on the state of the world. People clapped in agreement over his irreverent observations.

There was no wardrobe change during Williams’ set. His black and red suit was the standout on the stage. It almost stole the show. Williams was sweating in that suit. His energy was nonstop.

Regardless of how you feel about Williams (especially at the Club Shay Shay interview earlier this year), he is funny. Williams knows how to deliver a joke and hold an audience’s attention. Williams is both educated and hood at the same time. It’s a beautiful mix.

I look forward to Williams’ next Netflix special. Netflix would be wise to continue investing in Williams. He is comedy gold, and he is worth every penny Netflix paid him. And I’m sure Netflix paid a pretty penny for Williams’ talent.
