The Supreme Court gets the month off to a controversial start.

Here is it, the first of July, and shit has already hit the fan.

The Supreme Court decided in a 6–3 vote that former President Donald Trump has some immunity if his actions were done according to his presidential duties. The Supreme Court then sent the case to the lower court.

The internet has lost its mind over this ruling. Many are claiming that this makes Trump a veritable “king.” The criminal trial against Trump for his role in the January 6th insurrection is now in jeopardy. Trump’s role in inciting his followers to carry out violence, threaten the life of Vice President Pence, and storm the Capitol Building violates the Constitution.

The Supreme Court would beg to differ. SMH

I don’t understand why a former president with thirty-four felony convictions owes millions to a woman he constantly slanders and is threatening a dictatorship. If he is re-elected, he can be allowed to walk around so freely. I find it galling that Trump, a real estate mogul and reality TV star, has so much power.

Trump was considered a joke in his previous presidential bids — until he wasn’t.

Other pundits claim that the Supreme Court’s decision wasn’t a surprise, and it means that the court has protected…
