Joe Manchin Must Go

He belongs with the Republicans.

Joe Manchin is a Republican mole. He has betrayed his fellow Democrats in Congress and the President by deciding to vote no on Biden’s Build Back Better spending bill. It was a blow that the Democrats didn’t see coming — but they should have.

Manchin has been acting like a Republican on several key issues. Anything that Biden has wanted to put forward has been blocked by Manchin. He even voiced that the help to families would be wasted because as he stated, “they would use it to buy drugs.” Really, Senator?

His state of West Virginia is one of the poorest states in the union. Was he talking about his own constituents when he made the drug reference? It is so sad that Manchin cares more about his bottom line than the people in his state. He owns a coal business that would be impacted by the Build Back Better bill. If Manchin had supported the bill, he would lose money. I guess he couldn’t stand to be less wealthy.

As the Democrats scramble to come up with another plan, America is held hostage by Manchin and other like-minded senators who want to impede Biden’s progress. After four years of Trump’s thievery and lies, why would Manchin take up the mantle of the most hated politician in America?

Manchin doesn’t care about his popularity with the people. He only wants to please those who pad his pockets. Special interests like the coal industry pay Manchin a lot of money. Manchin doesn’t want to lose their support. West Virginia can be buried in its own coal dust for all Manchin cares.

So as Christmas and New Years' approach, we enter 2022 without any plan to help the average American citizen. Politicians like Manchin and others are holding up progress. The Republicans love Manchin. The Democrats need to rise him out on a rail. It’s up to the voters in West Virginia to see Manchin as a threat to their livelihoods and vote him out.
