When I watch fashion shows, I’m amazed by the designs, styles, and textures. I get especially excited when I see various color combinations on the runway. The color combinations make me rethink my wardrobe and reinvent my style. Life is all about reinvention anyway.
When I was a 20-something, I was a local model who dreamed of walking the runways of New York and Paris. And while I did make it to New York, my career didn’t take off like I had hoped. But I didn’t lose my love of fashion, and during the heyday of Sex and the City, my love of fashion became an obsession.
As I pursue my career as a fashion content creator and writer, I often wonder how models (super or otherwise) inspire other women to up their style game. Like me, many women may have dreamed of becoming supermodels, traveling worldwide, and appearing on the covers of Vogue, Elle, and Marie Claire magazines. But instead, they went into other professions and pursued fashion on the side (if at all).
