How My Friend’s New Apartment Got Me Hooked on Home Decor
I Want to Transform My Home
About a month ago, a friend moved into her new apartment. The landlord of her old apartment was changing things, and he offered her a place in another house he owned. The house was in the next town over, but geographically, it was only a few blocks away.
So, my friend began packing up her things, and she moved her belongings once the new place had been cleaned. For the larger bags and heavier boxes, I helped to drive her over there and carried the items into the apartment. The place was a second-floor walk-up with its own front and back porch, an office space, a craft room, and a large bedroom. It was an upgrade from her previous apartment.
In addition, I took my friend to home decor stores. She wanted to get new furniture and put her stamp on the place. We visited Crate & Barrel, The Pottery Barn, West Elm, and CB2. We also checked out pieces in Target and TJ Maxx. My friend purchased a dining room set from Bob’s Furniture and a small kitchen table.
The experience has been eye-opening for me. I’m at a stage in my life where I want nice things. Not that the current items in my home aren’t lovely, but they’re from a different point in my life. It’s time for an upgrade! Unfortunately, my bank account may not be able to help transform my home for…
