New Month, Restart Time

It’s July 2nd. June was a blur. I don’t know what happened. It was June 1st then my birthday was June 4th and the next thing I knew, it was June 30th. Now, it’s July. The year is officially halfway over.

Six months goes by quickly. I’ve been through a lot since the beginning of 2023. I’ve written a few poems and articles about my teaching career being in jeopardy. Right now, I do have a teaching job in September, but even that may be in doubt. I have to meet with the Superintendent of my district. She has the final say so on my status. She can either give me another chance, reassign me to another role, or fire me. At this point, I don’t know what might happen.

While I can’t control the Superintendent’s decision, I can control what I do about my career options. I need to generate multiple streams of income. I’ve been taking classes through Google, learning about affiliate marketing, and building my social media exposure. In addition, I’ve continued to work on my writing career.

July has been rainy, but the rain motivates me. I need to make more money. I can’t continue to dip into my savings to cover bills and unexpected expenses. I wish I had a sugar daddy or a generous benefactor to help me with my debt. But I have to find a way, as usual, to get my financial ship floating again.

I will be productive. I will say yes to opportunities. I will accept money from any and all sources. I must grind hard. It is important that I’m prepared for anything my district throws at me. I’ve lost faith and trust in my union. They’ve stabbed me in the back.

Once again, I call on the universe to send me guidance and strength. I seem to be in this situation every few years. This is the year I break the cycle. I want to live the life I deserve. I don’t want my kids to inherit my burdens.
