Even Hell Has Style

***Hazbin Hotel: Spoilers Ahead***

Hazbin Hotel is on Amazon Prime and was immediately a hit when it debuted on January 19th. I didn’t get hip to the series until this month when I was scrolling through YouTube and viewed snippets of the show. The episodes intrigued me and I watched the entire first season.

I am obsessed with this show! Here is the gist: Charlie Morningstar, Princess of Hell, opens a hotel to help sinners find redemption and enter Heaven. Everyone in Hell laughs at the thought of sinners finding redemption. Hell is a place of eternal torment. But Charlie has the support of her girlfriend, Vaggy, a former soldier of Heaven, and Angel Dust, a gay porn star.

The creators of Hazbin Hotel have created a world where the inhabitants are quite fashionable and even trendy. Charlie wears a red, black, and white pantsuit. Vaggy favors an aesthetic that is part good girl, part goth warrior. Angel Dust wears a tight suit jacket and even tighter pants. The rest of the demons that Charlie encounters wear clothing that would be worn in the living world. There are demons wearing everything from t-shirts and jeans to designer dresses.

For example, in one episode, Charlie travels with her “facilities manager” Alastair, a high-ranked and very powerful demon who dresses like it's the late 19th/early 20th century.
