She has an early Christmas gift

On Saturday Night Live (SNL), Keke Palmer announced in dramatic fashion that she will be a mother in 2023.

I am so happy for her and her boyfriend. It is such a wonderful gift to celebrate in the New Year. I hope Palmer spends Christmas with family and friends and gets spoiled with tons of baby gifts.

In my opinion, Palmer is an overlooked actress. She’s extremely talented. I remember her recent turn in the movie, “Nope.” It was a great performance. Palmer is hilarious, intelligent, and stylish. Not to mention, she’s a beautiful African American woman. I am so proud of sis and her career accomplishments!

The media constantly compares Palmer with Zendaya. There’s no comparison. Zendaya gets more attention because she’s lighter-skinned and has been featured in high-profile movies like Spiderman: Far From Home and Spiderman: No Way Home. But that doesn't make her better than Palmer. Keke’s films have more depth and substance.

In any event, I’m on team Palmer. We chocolate sisters need to stick together. The media and the racist nature of this country pit Black women of various shades against each other. The Black community is plagued by colorism. We need to stop comparing each other based on how light or dark our skin is. It’s pointless. All racists see is Black.

So, congrats to Keke Palmer. I know she will be a great mother. I look forward to seeing Palmer back on the big screen. She’s definitely an actress to watch in 2023 and beyond.
