Drink some Cow Juice!

Milk, an essential breakfast staple, is having its day — which is today. National Milk Day allows those who enjoy the white elixir to give it special attention.

Now, there are many who will state that cow’s milk isn’t good for the human body. I’m not here to argue for or against cow’s milk. In fact, I wanted to share a shortlist of the various kinds of milk people can also drink.

Milk List:

  1. Almond Milk
  2. Cashew Milk
  3. Goat Milk
  4. Oat Milk
  5. Soy Milk

There are a variety of milk products on the market. So whether you are a traditional milk drinker or into nut milk, find a milk that is right for you. Milk is essential for the body, providing Calcium for the bones. Without enough calcium, the bones become weak and can lead to osteoporosis. That is a bone disease that can leave people with brittle bones.

Milk can be used in a variety of recipes. If you’re a cook, you know milk is an important part of any breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Milk can be used to make pancakes, bake cakes and pies, and enhance soups and sauces. Milk gives food a creamier, richer flavor and texture.

So go to your local supermarket — Krogers, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Aldi’s — and grab a bottle of ice-cold, refreshing milk.

Drink up and enjoy!
