Drake vs Kendrick: Round Two
Drake’s Clap Back is a Lawsuit
Drake has filed two lawsuits against UMG — Universal Music Group and Spotify- claiming they inflated Kendrick’s numbers and exaggerated the reach of his hit “Not Like Us.”
Huh?
Drake, bruh, listen, you lost versus Kendrick. KDot eviscerated you lyrically. Maybe some of the lyrics crossed the line, but it’s not like you made serious accusations in your verses.
You can Kendrick, a “woman beater.
Kendrick rapped, “Keep your little sister from him, A-minor.”
I can understand you feeling hurt over Kendrick’s tremendous success during his battle with you. Everyone was playing “Not Like Us.” It was in high rotation all across the country and around the world. The song has been played at birthday parties and sporting events, on Instagram and TikTok, and even at retirement homes (OG’s were nodding to “Not Like Us.”).
Both Drake and Kendrick made money from their battle. However, Kendrick was the clear winner of the war. “Not Like Us” was nominated for a Grammy, and Kendrick has solidified himself as the hottest male rapper around. In addition, he just dropped a new album on Friday, November 22nd, and appears to want to take on Lil Wayne.
