Recently, Cassie, an R&B singer, set the celebrity world on fire with revelatory claims against Sean “Diddy” Combs. Combs, a fashion and music mogul, had dated Cassie for ten years. Per Cassie, it was a relationship full of abuse and unwanted sexual contact. And she presented a lawsuit full of damning details about their decades-long affair.

Of course, Diddy denied any wrongdoing in their relationship. But when Kid Cudi, a rapper, co-signed Cassie’s claims with a reveal of his own, everyone started side-eyeing Diddy. Per Cudi, Diddy was a possessive and jealous maniac during his time with Cassie. So much so, that Diddy threatened Kid Cudi and made good on that threat by blowing up Cudi’s car.

In her lawsuit, Cassie demanded restitution for all of the abuse she sustained during her time with Combs. The lawsuit requested 30 million dollars, a whopping sum of money. Cassie had receipts and stood firm on her accusations towards Diddy. But he continued to deny the allegations.

Less than forty-eight hours later, the two settled the suit, bringing an end to any possible criminal and civil proceedings. The amount of the settlement wasn’t disclosed, but Cassie commented that she was satisfied by the amount offered. Diddy, on the other hand, stated that the settlement was in no way an admission of guilt and still denied the claims made against him. Then why settle if you feel you’re innocent?
