The Anime Show Scored Points in My Fashion Book

**SPOILER ALERT**

I recently binge-watched the new season of the Castlevania series — Castlevania: Nocturne. If you’re a Castlevania fan, this latest entry in the franchise will mark Season 4 in the series. And it didn’t disappoint.

I’ll write another post about the highlights of the series. This post is all about the fashion in the series. Each episode was a designer’s delight. The anime was full of outfits referencing Bridgerton, the Islands of the Caribbean, and the plantations of the Southern United States.

Let’s begin with the main character — Victor (Richter?) Belmont. When we meet the main character, the young Belmont is about 10 years old. He’s with his mother a vampire hunter. She is addressed in the Belmont standard uniform with the Belmont Family Crest on the back of her jacket. They’re in Boston during the late 1700s and are on their way to the harbor to board a ship bound for France.

Victor’s mother is dressed in Belmont finery. A long trench coat emblazoned with the Belmont family crest. She wears knickers and riding boots. Underneath her coat is a white blouse, neatly tucked into the knickers. Her son, Victor, wears a long-sleeved white shirt, knickers with a sash belt, white stockings, and shoes. He looks like a little pirate minus the eye patch.

As mother and son near the docks, they are ambushed by a vampire. The vampire is also decked out in finery. He wore…
