Black Men: Do You Want Trump to Win the Presidency?
A Choice that Will Impact You, Your Family, and Community
One of the trending commentaries has been the support of Black men for Donald Trump. There seems to be an increased rallying of Black men behind the 34 times convicted felon. I’ve seen an increasing number of Black men on television stumping for Trump. I’ve also seen a growing number of Black male conservatives rise to prominence, repeating or expanding upon Trump's divisive rhetoric.
This is a serious concern.
But the question remains — Why? Indeed, these Blkack nen have done their research on Trump. Trump and his father before him have a long history of discrimination against Black people. In addition, while he was in office, Trump was quoted as calling African nations “shithole countries.” This is a man who will smile in our faces and then spit on us as soon as our backs are turned.
Some Black men feel that Trump's felonies make him “one of us.” Others want Trump to return to office to issue more stimulus checks (a byproduct of the Obama administration). Some Black men feel that Trump is a better fit for the presidency and Harris has “placed too many Black men behind bars.” Harris hasn’t, but the opinion of her remains.
