Black fathers are present or want to be present in their children's lives. However, sometimes circumstances, such as incarceration or mental illness, prevent Black fathers from being fully present with their children. In addition, often Black fathers aredenied access to their children because of the relationship they have with the kids mothers. A tense relationship often dictates access to the children. It's sad. But I know Black fathers want to be there for their kids!
