Biden is Out. Harris is In.
What does this mean for the election?
President Biden is no longer running for re-election. Kamala Harris is now his replacement. I’m in shock. July has been a lot. We still have a week and a half left in the month!
I have mixed feelings about the current situation. I’m sure Biden didn’t want to bow out. Other Democrats, like Pelosi and Schumer, were pressing Biden to pull out. Even Barack Obama chimed in and suggested Biden drop out of the race.
It’s the betrayal for me!
Some of these Democrats, like Pelosi and Schumer, are around Biden’s age. If he has to drop out from running for president, they must also drop out of their positions. These old-head politicians mess things up for the generations behind them.
Ageism played an enormous role in this election. Both Biden and Trump are over 75 years old. Biden is a couple of years older than Trump at 81. Biden recently contracted COVID, contributing to his decision to leave the race. Biden was looking frail in several photos taken since the COVID announcement.
Harris, 59, is ready to take on Trump and his MAGA minions. She’s also aware of The Heritage Foundations’s Project 2025 plans. Harris has her work cut out for her, as I’m sure the Republicans are planning a counterattack against her.
Harris has my vote. I will use my platforms to spread the word and encourage people to vote for her. Harris needs all the support she can get. She is the last line of defense against Trump. If he gets the presidency, America is doomed. We are all doomed!
