Marcus and Mike are Back!
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back as Mike Lowreey and Marcus Burnett in Bad Boys 4, and the movie did not disappoint.
Smith and Lawrence are the best comedic duo in an action film. Smith seemed to be aging at a glacial pace and was his usual athletic and handsome self. Lawrence looked like a grandpa with his squinty eyes and slo-mo steps. But he was still able to kick butt and shoot people with precision.
The plot of the movie is this (spoiler alert) a former U.S.military officer joins forces with the cartel to funnel drugs through Miami. Conrad Howard, Mike and Marcus’ former poilice chief has been investigating the cartel for years. In Bad Boys 3, he was killed by a memeber of the cartel who turned out to be Mike’s son from a past love. Mike’s son, Armando, is captured and sent to prison for the crime.
Fast forward and it turns out Armando is the only one who can identify the U.S. military officer who ordered the hit on Howard. This needs to happen because Howard, although deceased, has been accused of funneling millions of dollars into his personal account. Mike and Marcus need to bring Armando to headquarters to identify the bad guy and clear Howard’s name.
