An Open Letter to President Biden
Please, Sir. Do Not Quit!
Dear President Biden:
As of the writing of this letter, I know you’re dealing with mild COVID symptoms.
I wish you a speedy recovery. As you know, COVID hasn’t disappeared, and some states are seeing a strong resurgence of this deadly virus.
You need to take care of yourself and regain your strength. You have campaigning to do.
Unlike some within the Democratic Party, from Nancy Pelosi to Barack Obama (Obama, why/!) It would be best if you did not drop out of the race.
Your age is your age. But we live in a youth-driven society, and those younger than you are using ageist tactics to pressure you to withdraw. It is wrong and disgusting. What happened to respect your elders?
You have been in the political game since the seventies and weathered personal tragedies and professional losses — but you didn’t give up or give in to the naysayers around you. It’s time to remember who you are and why you’re needed in this election.
You can’t change your age, but you can reassure the American people that you’re still an intelligent, quick-witted, and humorous man by reminding everyone about what you’ve done for the country and what you will continue to do. Data is on your side.
