An Open Letter to Donald Trump

Mr. Ex-President, Your Luck Has Run Out.

Dear Donald,

It’s time to read the writing on the wall, Trump. Your days as a free man are finally, FINALLY, coming to an end. We, the American People, have been waiting too long to see you behind bars. The world is ready to see you behind bars. Everyone is tired of your antics and tirades. We’re ready to see you escorted to prison.

Trump, you brought it on yourself. First, you use your position as president to bring shame to the country. The United States was a global laughingstock. Our allies couldn’t believe that you had been elected to office (with help from Russia). How could America go from the character and consciousness of Barack Obama to an overrated reality TV star and subpar businessman?

Historians one hundred years from now shake their heads at what has happened in the early part of the 21st century. Electing you to office is a stain that will never come out. It’s just another stain on the long list of stains that will forever mar the United States. The slaughter of many indigenous tribes, the Enslavement Period, the internment of Japanese-American citizens during World War II, Jim Crow, the violence against Americans who supported the Civil Rights Movement, Redlining, the War on Drugs, the imprisonment of thousands of Black and Brown people for minor crimes, and the ongoing gentrification of urban communities can never be erased (despite the efforts of many Republican leaders across the country).

So now, in Georgia, a fourth indictment has been added to your embarrassment and this indictment appears to be the most powerful of them all. You and your cronies trying to “find” votes during the 2020 election in order to secure a victory. All of the lies, fraudulent documentation, and denials of wrongdoing have caught up to you. Justice may finally be served upon your (not 215 pounds) behind.

You deserve whatever punishment befalls you, Trump. You were a terrible president. Your COVID response cost over a million people in the United States their lives. Yes, you made way for companies like Moderna and Pfizer to speed up research and produce vaccines, but what will be the side effects of those vaccines over the coming years? I’m still waiting for the zombie outbreak to happen.

Just go away, Trump. Rot in prison. You and all of your co-conspirators. As for your supporters, I hope they will come to their senses. You wanted to be a dictator. You were pals with Putin and Kim Jung Yeun. You trusted them more than your intelligence agencies! You’re a racist who said people from Black populated countries came from scumbag nations. You aligned yourself with other celebrities who had extremist leanings, like Kanye West and Omarosa. You’ve brainwashed so many Black people who are on the campaign trail wearing shirts that say “Blacks for Trump.”

You are a disgrace, Trump. Live with it!
