The People Have Spoken and Racism Won
I am sick to my stomach! Donald J. Trump has recaptured the White House?! After the felonies, lawsuits, and sexual assault allegations, this man, this vile, evil man, has become America’s next president. It boggles my mind that people voted in droves for Trump. A man who has cheated, lied, and stolen his way into the White House.
Based on exit polls, the largest voting block was White men, followed by White women, followed by Latino men, and finally, Latino women. Black men and women were Harris's largest voting block. In addition, working-class voters chose Trump 51 to 47 over Harris. A large portion of people over the age of 45 also voted for Trump. Gen X?! Come on!
What bothers me the most is that 10–15 million eligible, registered voters didn’t come out to vote. Those votes could have made the difference for Harris! People chose a corrupt, unfit reality TV star over a well-qualified (and current Vice President) woman?! What is wrong with people? Voting for Trump is bad enough, but not voting at all is the worst.
What scares me is Project 2025. That is the blueprint for destroying America’s democracy. Trump has already vowed to deport millions of people out of the country, rebuild the wall on the US border, and shut down the Department of Education. In addition, Trump plans to go after his…
